Christmas 2010

December was a whirlwind of activities for our family.  I haven't been motivated at all to blog (can you tell?), so here is our December in pictures...and a few words too.

Christmas tree shopping in the snow.  Nothing better.

Picking out the perfect tree.  They did a really good job.

Visiting Papa while he rang the bell for the Salvation Army.

First encounter of the season with Santa.  She didn't know what to think of him.  Do you like the scriptures written in the background.  Classic church Christmas party.

She figured out how to use the tag  books.  They are her favorite thing now.

Sledding in the yard.  They couldn't get enough of the snow.  Hours upon hours were spent outside until every last bit of snow was gone.

Wishing she could join her brother's outside.

Vivian started to walk the beginning of December.  Now she is running everywhere.

Decorating sugar cookies.  Appetizing, eh?

Trying to get to the sugar cookie action.  We had to finally put up the gate when she kept destroying everything.  Sorry, girl.  Someday you will understand.

Lot's of chess games.  Blake now can join in on the action.

Carter reading his Christmas present from his Kindergarten teacher....over, and over and over again!

Visiting Santa's reindeer.  A highlight for the boys and a great Christmas Eve activity.

Blake was excited about the reindeer to say the least.

The babe, on the other hand, just watched with not much excitement...as usual.

There's a smile.  She looks too grown up for my liking.

Singing Christmas songs at great grandpa and grandma Lybbert's house.

Popping poppers!  Confetti everywhere.

Another visit from Santa.  Every year on Christmas Eve, Santa comes for a visit.  He has been doing this since I was in high school.

Second guessing Santa...

Blake liked Santa so much he gave him a great big hug.  Seth's, I mean Santa's, expression is priceless to me.

Vivian did not like this Santa one bit.

Santa loving on girlfriend #2.  Seth took turns loving my sisters and I in high school.  When one would graduate, he would go on to the next one.  Natasha was always his favorite!

Acting out the nativity the best you can with 10 children (and a few uncles)...three being babies.

All of Carter's notes to Santa I found in his stocking Christmas Eve.

Carter's new ride that is SO fun.  I've tried it a few times myself and I have no complaints.

Vivian liked it too.

The three amigos.

Vivian loves her new robe.  She wears it around the house all day long.

Christmas with little children is pure happiness.

Now, if you'll excuse me I need to lay back down on the couch.  I have been nauseous all day long...with the flu.  It's horrible, but a great way to lose those extra pounds from the holidays.

It's so fun to see some pics! I've been MIA from the blogging world so it's been awhile since I saw your adorable little ones and in the know of your adventures! Your kids are all so grown up...especially Vivian. Wow. they are all beautiful kiddos. I'm so happy for you to be back home with family. I bet it's so wonderful. I will keep imagining that day for myself!
