On Monday night we drove about 40 minutes away from our house towards Austin, Texas. There resides some of the most beautiful country I have ever seen in my life. The Texas state flower is the blue bonnet. It's purple and there are fields and fields of them out where we went. They are all in bloom for a short season right now. Little did I know that I would want to do a mini family photo shoot. We definitely were not dressed to impress. Carter and I were wearing green shirts. The whole night we were competing with the green in the fields. Unbeknownst to me, Blake left the the house in the same dirty outfit he had worn all day and wiped his dinner on. It wasn't the outfit that I had set out for him to wear. Vivian is the only one that matched with the scenery. Oh well, next year.
This is the scene of the field as we were leaving that night.
My children. There are no serious pictures these days. Just goofy faces. Carter is obsessed lately with his ability to hold his sister while standing up. At least Blake is representing our alma mater with his t-shirt and the state of Texas with his cowboy boots.
My cute baby.
Run child, run like the wind.
And so he did.
Okay, you can come back now.
That's better. Come to mama.
Hopefully he'll be this happy to see me when he's older.
I'm totally in love with her.
Her new facial expression.
Wow, I look awesome. My shirt just blends in so nicely with everything. I NEED a haircut so bad!
Take 1...
Take 2.
The boys could have run through the fields all night long.
Makes me wish I had enough money to buy some property for my kids to have fun adventures on. Someday, right?
The blue bonnet.
Are you tired of seeing her yet? Me either.
Catching a grasshopper.
Blake's awesome outfit. Ha!
