Decorating for Christmas

Since we have moved 12 times in our married life of 7 1/2 years, we haven't had the opportunity to own a lot of Christmas decorations. I am slowly building up our supply, but SLOWLY is the key word. I don't want to be a crazy woman at Hobby Lobby and buy everything in site, and then decide the next year that I hate it all. About three years ago, I bought the boys these stockings during the after Christmas sale for $5.99. Lucky for me, I bought a girl one too, so now the kids stockings are complete. We have gone the whole time without a tree topper, so this year I am ending it. I purchased this today. As long as I have little children in my home I want to keep the Christmas decor kid friendly. So, this matches really well with the other things I got at Pottery Barn. That's the look I'm going for. We are getting our tree sometime this week. About 5 years ago, we were given a free pre-lit 8 foot tree. Last year, we sold it for $40 because it couldn't take one more move. So, this year we are buying a real tree and then I will probably try and find a fake one on clearance after Christmas. My friend called me today to tell me that our Costco is selling real trees...and for a really good deal too. We will be heading to Costco sometime this week to buy our tree. Don't you just love Costco. It's my favorite!

Candace and Costco always go hand in hand!! Those are cute stockings and an awesome tree topper. Pottery Barn always has such great after Christmas sales!
