Around these parts of Texas, garage sales are HUGE!!! Our neighborhood had their annual community garage sale this weekend. I have been looking forward to this since we moved here. We have a great neighborhood and it is BIG! I set out early Saturday morning with two of my friends to conquer the garage sale world. I had a list of what I wanted and ended up only getting a few items off the list and many that weren't. Isn't that usually how it goes? Here is the breakdown of what I got and how much I paid for each item. Mind you, I talked (or my friends) every item down except one...it was already a good deal. We had so much fun.
Three rustic chairs for $25 all together! I didn't have any use for these or room, so I thought I would buy them and sell them on craigslist to make some money. I already sold them for $50...which is still a good deal, but I didn't want to wait a while for them to sell.
Leapfrog learning table for $3. It needs cleaned up, but it works.
A guy was selling this mirror for his neighbor. His neighbor originally wanted $100 for it, but I offered $15 and got it. That's what happens when you leave your neighbor in charge. :) It a very heavy duty mirror that I have big plans for.
We've been wanting a hard car top carrier for our van since we now have 3 kids and only one extra seat in the back. This is the only one I saw the whole morning. It was used once and bought for $180. We purchased it for $30. It's perfect!
Other items I got:
Leapfrog leapster with two games--$10
Brand new baby girl stride rite shoes--$1
Brand new Calvin Klein baby girl dress--$1
Brand new baby girl brown dress shoes--$1
Girls Gymboree outfit--.25
Girls Dwell Studio pajamas--.25
Girls First Year pajamas--.25
Girls Gymboree Lady bug costume (tutu)--.25
Girls Ralf Lauren outfit--.25
Soccer Goals--$1
Brand new lamps for my bedroom. These lamps are straight from Pottery Barn--$10 for the pair.
Total spent $98.25-$50 for the chairs I sold=
$48.25
