Just a few minutes after we left Denver, this was the terrain. We saw these windmills all through the rest of Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas. They are at least every few miles. the land was very flat too.
There are also oil drills all over the place.
This picture does not do the 'real' picture justice, but these windmills were HUGE next to the road.
This is a glimpse of the rain we encountered in Kansas. We have driven accross the country before, so we have seen stuff like this before, but it's still pretty intense rain. We had to stop early our second day because we couldn't see the road anymore. I don't like driving by myself in situations like that. We made it to McPherson, KS the second day. Just short of Witchita, KS where we were trying to get.
