Last Friday Carter wanted to make cookies, so I agreed. I pre-heated the oven and started making the dough with Carter. Just as we were adding the last ingredient, the chocolate chips, I noticed a burnt plastic smell. I thought maybe my Bosch was having some issues. We dropped the cookies on a cookie sheet and opened the oven door. As soon as I saw what was in the oven, I started screaming. Carter looked inside and screamed even louder. You see, I haven't cooked in quite some time since being sick. Carter had decided to use the oven as a play oven one day and stuck all of his food plus some plastic plates in there. There were about 20 pieces of plastic food and two plastic plates melting down to the bottom of the oven. I turned the oven off and immediately got to work trying to get all of the plastic off. To my surprise, it came off pretty easy and only took me about 15 minutes. When you look at the pictures it doesn't even come close to how much plastic was in the oven since it's all melted. It was lovely.
