The one thing that Cody has wanted is freezer jam. Well, it's a little late for the really good strawberries, so I bought 3 bags of frozen and one container of fresh. I bought a little freezer pectin packet and some little containers (they are the best) and went to work. It took all but 15 mintues...maybe less...and the job was done. My mother-in-law puts her berries in a blender because she likes the jam smooth...I am with her on that one. I don't like junks of stuff, so I put everything into a blender (I made sure the frozen berries were thawed) and the job was about done. I mixed the sugar and pectin together, added the berries, and stirred the mixture for about 3 minutes. Poured the jam into the best containers I have ever found (got them at Macey's) and let them sit out on the counter for 30 minutes. Now we have freezer jam that doesn't take up too much space in our little freezer...it's really good too.
