Birthday Wishes

Today is Cody's 28th Birthday! It is full of studying, studying, and more studying. Luckily tonight he will get a short break from it all and go out to Red Robin with friends and family. We can't pass up a free burger from Red Robin.

I'm sure he wishes he was doing this...but he's doing this (without kids and not at home)....

This was the scene I came home to yesterday evening. Most of the toys were scattered around the house, a cartoon was on the tv, Blake was eating fish crackers (Carter's present to Cody that got broken out a little early), and Cody was studying. I had to go and run a few birthday errands, so he came home after the boys nap and studied while I went out. He is not easily distracted as you can see. I would be all over the place if this was happening, but I'm sure the boys had fun and it was a quick clean-up...we don't have a ton of toys. I was grateful for a chance to get away by myself.

His Birthday cake is a Banana Split Ice Cream Cake. I'm in the process of making it right now.
