Below is an EXACT routine of nap and bedtime for Carter.
Me: "Time for bed."
Carter: "Roar, time!"
Me: "Yes, we'll play roar."
Carter: "Okay, great!"
**We brush teeth...BUT I have to sing "Bibidee, Bobidee, Boo" while I do it.
Carter: "Mom, read to me. Two books."
**I proceed to read the same two books we have been reading for the past three weeks now. "The Sorcerers Stone" and "Bambi." I'm soooo sick of them already.
Me: "The end."
Carter: "It's ROAR time."
**This is where I turn off the lights and chase him to his tent in his bedroom. He lays down and waits for me to pull him out by the legs and tickle him a few times while rooooooaring! Then he says...
Carter: "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes!"
**I sing the song once and then Carter tells me to sing "faster mom, faster." I sing the song faster. Then he says "one more time, mom." I sing the song a last time. So, we do three rounds.
Right when I am done singing, he runs to me and lays on my shoulder. I ask him what song he wants. He replys "Farashaka." I sing the song twice and then he lays down in his bed. I put a billion blanets on him...per his request and he asks for his books to sleep next to him.
Sometimes it doesn't go like this, but usually it does. Oh I forgot our parting words.
Carter: "Love you mom."
Me: "Love you too."
Carter: Sleep tight, mom."
Me: "Sleep tight, Carter."
